Business Policy

1. Scope of Work

This policy applies to all residential construction services provided by WNS Construction, including new home construction, renovations, extensions, and remodelling works. All work will be carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and mutually agreed terms.

2. Project Schedule

• Project timelines are estimated based on agreed scope, site readiness, and timely availability of materials.

• Any delay caused by the client, their suppliers, or late approvals may result in an extension of the completion timeline and additional costs.

3. Materials Supply Policy

• Materials shall be supplied as per agreed specifications and within the approved construction schedule.

• Materials may be supplied either by the company or by the client, as specified in the contract.

Late Supply of Materials & Compensation

• If materials are not supplied on time and this results in work stoppage or delay, the responsible party shall be liable to pay compensation.

• Compensation may include:

• Idle labor costs

• Equipment and machinery standby charges

• Extended site supervision and overhead expenses

• Compensation will be calculated on a per-day delay basis or as specified in the agreement.

4. Cancellation Policy

Client-Initiated Cancellation

• If the client cancels the project after commencement:

• Payment must be made for all work completed up to the cancellation date.

• The client must pay for materials already purchased, delivered, or specially ordered.

• A cancellation charge of 20% of the remaining contract value may apply.

Company-Initiated Cancellation

The company reserves the right to suspend or cancel work if:

• Payments are delayed beyond 7 days

• Materials are not supplied on time despite written notice

• Site conditions are unsafe or inaccessible

In such cases, the client remains responsible for all completed work and incurred costs.

5. Payment Terms

• Payments shall be made as per the agreed milestone or stage-wise schedule.

• Late payments may attract interest at 10% per week.

• Work may be suspended until outstanding payments are cleared.

6. Changes & Variations

• Any changes in design, materials, or scope must be approved in writing.

• Approved changes may result in revised costs and timelines.

7. Quality & Warranty

• Construction will comply with applicable residential building codes and safety standards.

• The company is not responsible for defects caused by substandard or client-supplied materials.

• Warranty applies only to workmanship, as defined in the contract.

8. Force Majeure

The company shall not be liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, or supply chain disruptions.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be resolved through mutual discussion.

10. Acceptance

By signing the agreement or proceeding with the project, the client agrees to all terms stated in this Residential Construction Business Policy.
